The Training Committee will consist of Department members, as <br />determined by the Chief of Police, representing all operational <br />components within the Department. (33.1.1a) (33.1.1b) <br />B. The Training Committee will report directly to the Chief of Police. <br />(33.1.le) <br />C. Members of the Training Committee shall serve on the Committee until <br />replaced by the Chief of Police. (33.1.1b) <br />D. The Training Committee has the responsibility and authority to: (33.1.1d) <br />1. Evaluate training programs used by the Department, both internal <br />and external, as required. <br />2. Identify training needs within their respective Divisions. <br />3. Direct the Training Unit to write lesson plans, coordinate necessary <br />resources and deliver training programs. (33.1.1c) <br />E. The Training Committee will conduct reviews and will assure training <br />programs address the following: <br />1. Personnel and operational needs. <br />2. Legal requirements (e.g., new legislation and recent court <br />decisions). <br />3. Changes in Department policy. <br />F. The Training Committee will meet on an as needed basis but no less than <br />annually. <br />
