<br />SURPRISE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT-RIBBONS AND PINSEQP-01.02 <br />Effective Date Revision DateLast Review Date <br />Page 1of 3 <br />11-18-202111-18-202111-2021 <br />I.RIBBONS AND PINS <br />A.Only those pins and ribbons that authorized by the Surprise Police <br />Department will be worn. <br />B.A maximum of six (6) ribbons and one (1) special assignment pin may be <br />worn in combination on the Class A or Class B uniform shirts. <br />C.Any other unauthorized, non-listed accessory,(i.e., pins, awards or other <br />decorative items),will not be worn on the uniform without Police Chief or <br />designeeapproval. <br />1.Lifesaving Award -Red/White/blue in color (as issued) <br />2.Meritorious Service Award -Red/White/Blue in color (as issued) <br />3.The Medal of Valor -Blue/White in color (as issued) <br />4.Tenure Award -Blue in color, with or without gold star(s) (as issued) <br />5.Shooting Award -Green/White in color, expert or master (as issued) <br />6.CALEA Award -Blue and Gold in color with CALEA logo in center <br />7.MPO (Master Police Officer) -Navy Blue with white and red in center <br />8.Honor Guard (to be worn by active members only) -Black with Gold <br />lettering “HONOR GUARD” <br />9.Accident Reconstruction -Navy Blue with Gold lettering “Accident <br />Reconstructionist” <br />10.SRO (School Resource Officer) -Navy blue in color with silver stripes <br />and initials “SRO” centered in silver capital letters. <br />11.FBI-NA Academy -Navy blue in color with the initials “FBI” in gold on <br />the left, three stripes in the center -gold, white and red in color -and <br />light blue in color with the initials “NA” in gold on the right. <br />12.Northwest Staff and Command -Royal blue,white and purple in color <br />with a key insignia in the center. <br />13.Educational Achievement Award: <br />Master’s Degree –Blue, red and yellow in color with gold flame <br />in center <br />Bachelor’s Degree –Black, Red and White in color with gold <br />star in center <br />14.9/11 Remembrance pin is authorized for wear until 12/31/2021. <br /> <br />
